WELCOME TO BAYOU'S BEST
FROM
GRANNY'S CAJUN KITCHEN & THE CRAWFISH HOLE

Hi, I'm Belinda.  Some of you know me as Granny from www.FreeZoneChat.com.  Others may know me as Cajun Gal or KrazyKazun.  I'm from a small town in Louisiana called Georgetown which is located in almost the geographic center of  Louisiana.  Since I'm from the "Cross Roads" of Louisiana a lot of my recipes are cajun or creole while others are just good ole southern/country cooking.

I've always enjoyed collecting recipes and trying them out on friends, family and co-workers.  Some turned out great and some went into "File 13" never to be seen again.  Now I want to share some of these recipes--the good ones-- with you.

I'd also like to include some of your recipes.  If you have one, two or more recipes you'd like to share or some tips, how-dos or even some kitchen humor, please send it to me at GrannysCajunKitchen @yahoo.com.  If you have a picture of yourself, a child or grandchild you'd like to share send that too.

The very first recipe I want to share is from my very good friend, Ray, or Rooster as a lot of you know him.  It is fitting that his recipe be on the Welcome Page as he was the first one to suggest that I start a recipe page.  This is a very simple recipe and is an example of the kind of recipes I'd like to share with you -- something easy and quick to make using ingredients you probably have in your pantry and doesn't require a lot of prep time.
